TODAY/TONIGHT! FREE! TRANS DAY OF RAGE, 4-8pm @ 2718 Painters Street
Pumpkin smashing, campfire, strawberry plants, drum circle and live music by Angie and Gingerbread of Tetrad. Light snacks provided, BYOB.
* I’m not trans or gender nonconforming. Can I still come?
Yes, come meet folks and show your support! This event centers trans and GNC folks, but friends and allies are very welcome. We love when our circles expand.
* Will there be any supplies distributed?
Yes! Available Free: New Orleans Community Resource Guide, Whistles + guidance on keeping our communities safe from 🧊, strawberry plants. Sliding scale: Queer/Trans Guide to Storms.
* Can I bring kids?
Yes, we’ll have a variety of activities, and all ages are welcome! An adult must be present with them at all times.
* Do I have to rage?
No! If you prefer sitting in nature solo, chit chatting, campfires, drumming, singing, dancing, watching chickens do chicken things... we have space for you.
* Do I have to sign up for a rage time slot like last year?
No! This year we’ll just have a line/list upon arrival. You do not have to show up at any particular time.
* What if I don’t have a pumpkin?
We have pumpkins on site for at least 25 ragers! Pumpkin scraps will be turned into compost after the event.
* Is there parking?
Yes, street parking + grass lot for overflow.
* What should I wear?
Whatever you want! The farm is almost entirely grass so we do recommend flat, closed toe shoes.
* Is there a bathroom?
Yes! We have a private, all gender, compost toilet bathroom + sink.
* Is the farm accessible?
Unfortunately, no. The bathroom is not ADA compliant, and we do not have walkways around the farm that are adequate for mobility devices. We know this is a problem, and we are constantly seeking funding to change this.
* What do you mean by BYOB?
Bring your own beer or whatever you’d like to drink. Similarly, bring snacks or camp chairs if you have preferences/needs. We do have two rules: (1) No substances in or next to the rage “room”. (2) Nothing illegal... this is a public event and we want to keep each other safe.
